The brief

IVECO ON is the core digital ecosystem designed to maximize fleet productivity and vehicle uptime. The challenge was to execute a complete end-to-end redesign of the internal platform. We were tasked with consolidating a fragmented suite of services (telematics, maintenance, and fleet management) into a single, high-performance gateway for B2B users worldwide.

My role

I was deeply involved in the end-to-end process, from supporting the initial discovery workshops to defining the final visual language.
I focused on translating complex user requirements into intuitive flows, eventually taking ownership of the design system.

The problem

The legacy platform suffered from a "siloed" architecture where services felt like separate products.

  • High cognitive load: vital alerts were buried under technical noise.
  • Inconsistency: a lack of shared design patterns led to a disjointed user journey across different modules.
  • Scalability issues: the interface couldn't easily accommodate the growing roadmap of new connected services.

Insights

Through workshops with fleet managers and stakeholders, we identified that time and uptime are the most critical metrics in the logistics industry.

  • The "At-a-Glance" necessity: users need immediate clarity on vehicle health to prevent costly breakdowns.
  • Omnichannel utility: the platform must provide a consistent experience whether accessed via a desktop in the office or a mobile device in the field.

Design intent

Our strategy focused on humanizing industrial data through:

  • A robust design system: I developed a comprehensive library of atomic components, focusing on high-contrast visuals and "heavy-duty" UI elements that reflect the strength of the IVECO brand.
  • Anticipatory UX: we implemented a priority-driven dashboard that uses smart grouping and clear status indicators to highlight urgent maintenance needs.
  • Data clarity: balancing high information density for professionals with a clean, modern aesthetic to reduce user fatigue.

Outcome

The project won the prestigious iF DESIGN AWARD 2026 for outstanding digital user experience. Beyond the trophy, the redesign led to a 40% increase in user efficiency and was recognized for setting a new industry standard in the connectivity and telematics sector.
